Moving to a new country can be an enriching experience, but adapting to a different culture, language, social system, and everyday life can also be challenging. Many internationals experience increased stress, uncertainty, feelings of isolation, or difficulties finding their place in their new surroundings. This group provides a supportive and understanding environment where participants can work on their individual concerns while connecting with others who share similar experiences.
The therapy sessions are based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and focus on developing a better understanding of personal difficulties, learning evidence-based psychological strategies, and practicing practical skills for everyday life. Together, we will create a safe and respectful space where participants can strengthen their coping skills and develop new ways of dealing with challenges.
The group therapy is conducted entirely in English and is open to adults who feel that they would benefit from psychological support.
The group consists of up to nine participants and runs for a period of approximately six to twelve months. The exact schedule and starting date will be announced soon.
If you are interested in participating in this English-speaking group therapy program, please contact us via email at info@mvz-abel.de. We will get back to you as soon as possible and arrange an initial consultation to discuss whether this group is the right fit for you.
